Family vacay and racing!

Because of my race in Colorado, we decided to take a family vacation.  We had not had a family vacation in a while and honestly, I'm not sure how many more we will have since Nathan is in college.  But on to happier topics!  And because of so many great pictures, this topic will not be one post!

We flew into Denver, CO on Thursday night in time to get to the hotel and go to sleep.  The next day we started our day with breakfast at a recommended brunch spot called Snooze.
I guess I can't bug the boys to smile when they are wearing masks!

We then took a quick tour of downtown Denver.  Much of it was closed, specifically the stadiums and the mint, but it was a cool downtown.

Some roads were closed off for people to eat outside

They had a path for people to walk bikes up and down

After touring Denver, we drove to Estes Park for our race weekend.  The view of the Rockies on the way was amazing!

At the entrance to Estes Park, there was a pull out spot where we stopped.  We joined in with the crowd feeding the chipmunks.  They were very well fed...Nathan said that these chipmunks were all Theodore!

The chipmunks were picky eaters!

Camden was able to get them to eat!

After feeding the chipmunks, we went into Estes Park and Dave and Camden got ready for their 5K.  They both placed in their age divisions!

We ended the evening in downtown Estes Park eating dinner and seeing elk!!

It was the coolest thing ever to see elk walking through the streets of Estes Park!

And our downtown evening was followed by getting some rest at the hotel after getting my things ready for my half on Saturday morning!!  Friday was a great start to our weekend!
