I did something tonight I may regret.  I signed up for a full marathon on January 18.  I figure if I want to mark this off of my bucket list, I need to do it soon.  I am putting it out in the huge blog world...all 8 of you will know about it :)  And I started my running schedule today.  Actually I messed up and ran 4 instead of 3 miles.  So maybe I am ahead of the game.  I am determined to do this unless my body totally rebels.  If my hips or knees decide that I shouldn't run past 13.1 miles, then I will just do the half on the 18th.  So here is to running my shoes into the ground and hopefully earning my 26.2 sticker!

First day of school 2013!

The first day of school this year was Nathan's last first day of school at Charleston Christian.  Can't believe he is in the eighth grade!  And Camden started first grade this year.  What a big year for both of them.  Of course Nathan, being the middle schooler, says that he does not like school.  Camden was nervous and not too excited about school a few weeks ago, but yesterday he said he did not like summer.  It got in the way of school!

3rd grade at CCS
5th grade and K-4

7th grade and K-5
A walk down memory lane!  I know I have the missing years somewhere, but can't seem to find them.

Camden got a new backpack that should last him to the 8th grade

Lunch at Groucho's since it was a half day
It was a good first day of school and it should be a great year!

Happy Ice Cream Pie Day!

Well, actually I am a day late.  It was August 18.  But I did get an ice cream pie made on the right day.  Strawberry!  It was a success for Dave, but not so much for Nathan.  Oh well, the strawberries were really good!

They say there is an app for everything.  While driving home from Memphis, I found a Food Holiday app.  It gives you a food holiday, and even recipe suggestions, for every day of the year.  We will see what kind of fun we have with this :)
